Funeral Potatoes

8 lg. potatoes (boil in skins 25 mins)- peel & grate
2 cans of cream of chicken (or mushroom) soup
1 pt. sour cream
1/2 C. grated cheese
1/3 C. chopped onions

Pour over potatoes in a cooking dish and mix well. Sprinkle a handful of cheese on the top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until middle is hot. Top with chips if desired.
