Carnation Famous Fudge

1 1/2 cups sugar
2/3 cup evaporated milk
2 TBSP butter or margarine
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups mini marshmallows
1 1/2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped
1 tsp vanilla
(I add a couple of tablespoons of peanut butter sometimes)

Combine sugar, evaporated milk, butter, and salt in medium saucepan. Bring to a full rolling boil over medium heat. Stirring constantly, boil for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat. Stir in marshmallows, chips, nuts, and vanilla (and peanut butter). Stir vigorously for 1 minute or until marshmallows are melted. Pour into foil-lined 8 inch-square pan. Chill for 2 hours or until firm. Lift from pan, remove foil and cut in pieces.

YES! This is the best, in my professional oppinion. Actually this is the only fudge recipe I've ever tried. But, when it's the best, you don't need to try another one! Did you EVEN try it yet? Dave also suggests using mint or butterscotch chips. We may even try putting crushed candy cane in the mix. You can taste it at Christmas. Yes, we are in charge of bringing the fudge. Muu, ha, ha, (forgive me a cruel chuckle).
